R H G Stone Engineering's policy over the years to invest in large equipment and facilities allows us to offer a comprehensive service in both fabrication & machining. This enables us to carry out complete manufacture in house and our customers to single source different manufacturing processes thus reducing costs and shortening lead times.
We are pleased to carry out single operations on individual components through to complete special purpose machine builds.
MACHINING
Machining facilities include large conventional
& C.N.C. Milling & Turning. Cylindrical External & Internal
Surface Grinding, C.N.C. Turning, Horizontal Boring, Planning &
Slotting. Work carried out includes manufacture of precision
rollers, machining of large/small fabricated items, castings and
components. Complex components requiring special purpose
tooling & modification of existing machines are welcome.
FABRICATION
Comprehensive fabrication facilities
comprising Press Brake, Guillotines, Profilers, Rolling & Folding Machines.
Welding equipment of various capacities cover MMA, MIG, TIG & Oxy/Acetylene
Techniques. Welding to certified procedures by appropriate approved welders can
be completed. On site lifting capacity 10 tonnes. Typical fabrications,
jigs / fixtures, tooling, rollers, machine side / base
frames and pressings.
SPECIAL ASSEMBLIES
In addition to the manufacture of individual components our facilities enable us to offer sub assembly and complete machine build including refurbishment or modifications of existing equipment to customer's requirements. Subsequent on site installation can be arranged. We are also willing to manage prior to manufacture detail design using appropriate design companies to achieve customer's requirements.
QUALITY
Our aim is to produce all work to the highest standards of quality. To ensure thus we operate a quality control programme based on detailed quality plan procedures which are applied as appropriate. This ensures all evidence of conformity and order compliance required by each customer can be achieved.
PERSONNEL
A vital part of our organisation is the skill and flexibility of our workforce. Currently 21, many have completed their apprenticeship with R.H.G. Stone Engineering and with an average service of 17 years gives us stability, expertise and reliability.
Our commitment to training continues, with new apprentices following a Modern Apprenticeship Programme.
